UNA York Committee 2023-2024
Erin is a third year Social and Political Sciences student. She has loved her time taking part in Model UN so far as she has been able to push myself out of my comfort zone through the challenges of sessions, and love the sense of community that comes with it. She is really looking forward to being secretary this year and hopes to support the committee in being as successful as possible!
Maddy is a second year Human Geography and Environment student and is very excited to be Welfare Officer for the next year! She’s very passionate about MUN and they’re looking forward to continuing to create a welcoming and supportive environment for current and future members.
Elizabeth is a third year Politics with International Relations student. She is looking forward to being training officer for another year and can’t wait to bring varied debates to each session. She really loves the confidence and skills you get to build in MUN debates and can’t wait to see everyone in the training sessions!
Eloise is a third year studying Social & Political Sciences and is looking forward to being President of UNA for a second year running. She continues to hold a 100% best delegate rate and can’t wait to support the society into sending full delegations to conferences. Eloise is looking forward to hosting more events this year, including another successful Mega Mini MUN, and further UNA as a leading political society at York.
Hugh is a third year Politics and International Relations student. He has been involved in the world of Model UN since 2019 when he attended Leeds uni’s MUN conference and has a particular interest in how the Nordic countries represent themselves through bodies like the UN. He looks forward to being your Social Secretary this year, and can’t wait to help put on fun events.
Caleb is a third year economics student, and is excited to be serving a second year as treasurer. He is looking forward to working with YUSU to help UNA gain access to more resources, allowing us to run more events, make conferences more accessible, and maintain robust and sustainable finances.
Rob is a second year International Relations student. He has really enjoyed taking part in MUN debates, especially on such a wide range of topics that have helped him to grow intellectually and personally. He is really look forward to being conference officer this year, and getting as many people prepared to go to a conference as is possible.
Otter is a third year social and political sciences student. They’ve been attending MUN conferences since year 8 and they’re so excited to be part of the team writing up the debate scenarios each week. They hope to be able to inspire the same passion and love of MUN they found in conferences through the years for members of UNA, new and returning.
